
All classes throughout school are named after the colours of the rainbow. Our Year 1 classes are Cinnamon, Coral and Copper.

Class Routines
Year 1 children have a 15-minute morning breaktime and a 15-minute playtime in the afternoon.
Collection
If there are any changes to pick up arrangements, please inform the school office or the class teacher via Class Dojo. Dojo messages will be checked periodically during the school day, staff are unable to respond to messages outside of school hours.
Food and Drink
Children will need their own named water bottle in school. Bottles are returned home at the end of each day to be cleaned. Each day children are provided with a variety of healthy seasonal snacks including apples, tomatoes, carrots or peas.
School milk is available at a cost, if you would like your child to receive milk in school please sign up using the “ Cool Milk” website.

Curriculum Enrichment
Next term all the classes will have the opportunity to take part in a

- Walk around the local area
P.E
All classes do PE on a Wednesday. Please send your child to school in their PE kit-they do not need to bring a change of uniform with them.
Library
All classes go to the library and take a book home to read This needs to be returned each week on the following days.

Homework
Each week, children will bring home a reading book appropriate to their level. This should be read to an adult 3 times a weekand recorded in their reading record. Reading books go home on Wednesdays and are returned to school on Mondays.
Children are expected to complete a weekly task on the Mathletics website. The tasks are set every Monday.
