Gledhow Uniform
The school and governors actively encourage the wearing of school uniform. This gives the children a sense of belonging and identity. The school colours are maroon, sky blue and grey.

***Please write your child's name on all items of uniform.***
Children are required to wear appropriate black shoes or trainers suitable for outdoor play. Please ensure your child can tie laces; otherwise please provide velcro fastenings if necessary.
Uniform is available through the school online shop provided by MAPAC. A small percentage of the online sales are contributed to Gledhow PSA.

- The School Uniform Shop on the edge of Kirkgate Market, Leeds City Centre (opposite the new John Lewis).

The PSA regularly sell good quality second hand uniform at Parents' Evenings and the Summer Fair.
Uniform
- Pale blue or white shirts (with or without logo).
- Maroon cardigan (with or without logo), or sweatshirt with logo
- Grey tunic, skirt, shorts or trousers.
- Gingham blue or red summer dress
- Black shoes or trainers suitable for outdoor wear
- Plain white, black, grey socks or grey tights
- Long hair must be tied back with plain blue, black or maroon hair bobbles
- Small plain hairbands can be worn in blue, black or maroon
- No jewellery to be worn except watches. If ears are pierced, only studs to be worn. These must be covered over during PE lessons with plasters provided from home.
- Pencil cases may be brought to school but they must be small enough to fit in your child's tray. No toys to be brought to school including footballs.
PE Kit
Gledhow PE kit consists of:
- White collarless T-shirt
- Maroon or black shorts that are long enough to provide coverage while allowing unrestricted movement. Shorts should be at least mid-thigh in length.
- Maroon hoodie (a branded one is available if you wish, but not essential)
- Black tracksuit trousers
- Plain black, white or grey socks
- Plain trainers
- No jewellery to be worn for health and safety reasons. If stud earrings cannot be removed, they need to be covered up with plasters brought in from home.
Swimming Kit
Required from Year 4 & Year 5
- Girls must wear a one piece costume
- Boys should wear swimming trunks/shorts
- Swimming cap (optional)
- Towel
- Bag of sufficient size to put clothes in after getting changed
School Reading Bag
- Maroon school book bag with logo
School Jacket
- A Gledhow burgundy jacket is available- though children may wear any outer garment suitable for the weather.
