Social and Emotional Development Service
At Gledhow Primary School, we encourage every child to strive for their best in all aspects of their learning, valuing independence as much as academic achievement. However, school can be a challenging place for some children, affecting their emotional expression, relationships, and ability to learn. Our inclusion team offers an in-house service to support these children, following a referral from their teacher, and providing a home-like, calm learning space. Using play and age-appropriate tools, the team offers 1:1 and group sessions to help children develop strategies for a positive learning experience, with no extra cost. Parents can choose to opt-out and inform their child's teacher.
