Award winning Gledhow Primary is situated in the North of Leeds on Lidgett Lane, LS8. We are a school where children learn in a happy, caring and secure environment.
Everyone is encouraged and challenged to aim for the best that they can achieve in all that they do.
Our school develops independence in learning and values this equally alongside academic achievement in all areas of the curriculum.
Gledhow offers very high educational standards, an excellent enriched curriculum and an environment rich in the sports and arts.

The daffodil buds,
The daffodil buds are shivering in the Earth's cool breeze.
The snowdrops, are disagreeing with the ground.
The tiny, white flower buds, are sticking together like an army.
These are the signs of Spring.
'I feel truly privileged to have been there witnessing the encapsulation of a remarkable cohort of young people, flourishing and pushing the boundaries of their capabilities'

Congratulations to everyone on an excellent start to the 2014-15 academic year!
Arriving on time every day is a life skill we should all work hard to achieve. 86 children still had100% attendance at the beginning of February - Well Done!
However, as we all know we have been hit hard by 'Influenza 'A'' which has had a massive affect on our attendance as we cared for those who were ill and tried to prevent even more children from being infected. Thank you to the Public Health team for their support.
Currently, our whole school attendance which fell from 97.9% to 95.1% due to this severe outbreak of illness has recovered to 96.2%
